Medicinal Uses: Helps with Gout, Halitosis (Foul breath), Epileptic fits, Allergies and Intestinal worms. Following are the qualities of this herb- Antibacterial, Anti-inflammatory, Repels mosquitoes and kills larvae of mosquito, Antipyretic, antispasmodic, anticancer, Anti-allergy.
Traditional uses:
1-3 grams of the juice of the leaves can be taken for Colic, Gastric upset and for recurrent fevers.
Inhalation of vapors of the hot infusion of leaves helps with releiving congestion and also relieves symptoms of headache and fever by inducing sweating.
Decoction of the plant is used for fomentation of painful joints due to rheumatism.Essential oil can also be used externally for application to help with rheumatism.
